National Women’s History Month

WomenMakingHistory-blog

March is National Women’s History Month.

“I am female, hear me roar!” “If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.” “Be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.”

You’ve heard the expressions; you’ve seen the movies, you know the iconic poster of Rosie the Riveter, and you’ve most likely danced around in your room to Beyoncé’s albums on repeat. These sentiments, displayed in such ways that demonstrate just how versatile women are, all reel in the fact that women truly do, rule the world.

As we consider the many females who proactively work to make a difference in women’s lives, who comes to mind? In a world with women ruling congress, emergency rooms, the stage, the big screen, classrooms, households, businesses – and so much more – it’s easy to see how influential the female voice, opinion and physical action can be. Clearly, strength can be expressed and combined in so many ways.

March is National Women’s History Month – and while we celebrate the heroism of the many trailblazing women in history who have made a difference in how women are viewed around the world, let’s not forget about the women we surround ourselves with everyday. Who inspires you?

We hope you all feel inspired this month, and every month, and strive to achieve goals and dreams that truly fulfill you.
