Fitness at the Web: Meet Your Zumba Instructor

Tanuja Duffy loves teaching Zumba classes. Why? The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! Come join Tanuja and you’ll see what she means.

You don’t even have to know how to dance. Just move your body and follow her lead. It’s easy! We guarantee you will have a blast. Tanuja is looking forward to meeting you at our first FREE Zumba class on Saturday, May 14. See below to learn more about what got her into the dancing craze, and why she wants to get you on board.

I always say that ZUMBA IS FITNESS IN DISGUISE. It’s a party and full body workout. You will have a blast! Although the class is high intensity, all levels are welcome! All moves can be modified. I always tell all my students to listen to their bodies and not to compare themselves with other students.  Zumba is not a dance competition. It is a judgement free zone (whatever happens in Zumba class stays at Zumba class!)

Exercise should be fun and easy so, Zumba never feels like a chore. I promise to make everyone smile while working you out.

I want to make a difference in everyone’s daily workout and lifestyle. I promote healthy living and laughter. It’s important to me that when my students come for a workout, they leave smiling. I also take a few minutes before each song to go over steps so newcomers will have an easier time following along.

The ability to help people reach their fitness goals is what I love about teaching Zumba. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone reach their goals while having fun at the same time. The joy this brings is priceless.

I was always into health and fitness always loved it. When I was introduced to Zumba Fitness few years ago, I fell in love with not only the party atmosphere, but also with the results of a healthier happier self.

In August 2014 I decided to become a licensed instructor and since then my goal as a Zumba Fitness instructor is to help my students find the best “you” while having fun!

Being that Zumba is Latin inspired, about 80-90% of the music is normally Latin! We shake, we move, we squat, we bring our sexy and our own flavor out when we hear the music. We shake it ’till we make it (Zumba Golden Rule)! Some of the songs that are played during my class are Shake it Shake it, Fireball by Pitbull, Que Mona Vete, La Maraca, Metela Sacala, Samba groove, Feugo (cumbia) and more. I hope to see you there!
